CloudWays Hosting
Cloud Hosting Services

Cloudways offers managed cloud hosting on 3 platforms; Digital Ocean, Google Cloud and AWS cloud services where you can scale upto an amazing 96 vCPU`s with 384GB of RAM if you require a larger solution, but it comes with additional fee`s for bandwidth as well as file and database storage, backups are also an additional cost per GB. Datacenter coverage is on a global scale between the 3 platforms, and you can be assured of finding a suitable location for your web site or application. After testing we where delighted with the performance, the control panel is a little daunting to start with it`s menu driven but once you get the hang of it you fly along, the one thing we will say is we had problems at the start with the site migration tool, it didn`t move all the MySQL tables so we deleted application and restarted, this time we selected “Additional Tables” option only to find 7 tables hadn`t been selected to migrate, so we selected them and all went well. A real bonus is getting to access to CloudFlare Enterprise for an additional $4.99 a month per site, this improved our site performance brilliantly. Support is exceptional and you can always be assured of an answer to your problems. We where very happy with the whole setup and had managed Google Cloud up and running in no time.

They provide there own custom control panel for free and support is excellent. When we tested all went well and the control panel is super easy to use, although we had to change the PHP version to run our WordPress site the default install was 7.0 but this was a matter of selecting 7.4 from a dropdown menu and selecting save, other than that getting the site going was as simple as setting nameservers on the domain and 1 click install of SSL certificate. Uploading files and folders is also super easy with the control panel file manager. The CDN setup is icon driven point and click with on/off switches for setup. We had managed Google Cloud hosting setup in no time.

What is cloud hosting

Cloud hosting typically involves hosting websites and applications on a network of virtual servers, which can scale resources (such as CPU, RAM, and storage) dynamically based on demand. This allows for flexibility and improved uptime compared to traditional hosting options.

Benefits of Cloud Hosting

Cloud hosting offers numerous benefits for individuals and businesses alike. Here are some of the key advantages:

1. Scalability: Cloud hosting allows you to easily scale your resources up or down based on your needs. This means you can handle traffic spikes and increased workloads without having to invest in additional hardware.

2. Cost-Efficiency: Cloud hosting typically operates on a pay-as-you-go or subscription model, which can be more cost-effective than traditional hosting. You only pay for the resources you use, and there are often no upfront hardware costs.

3. Reliability and High Availability: Cloud providers offer robust infrastructure with redundancy and failover mechanisms, which ensures high uptime and minimizes the risk of downtime due to hardware failures.

4. Security: Leading cloud providers invest heavily in security measures, including data encryption, firewalls, and access controls. They also typically have compliance certifications to meet regulatory requirements.

5. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Cloud hosting solutions often include built-in backup and disaster recovery options, making it easier to protect your data and quickly recover from unexpected incidents.

6. Flexibility: Cloud hosting offers a wide range of services and configurations to meet specific application and workload requirements. You can choose from various instance types, storage options, and operating systems.

7. Accessibility: You can access cloud resources from anywhere with an internet connection, which is especially valuable for remote work and collaboration.

8. Speed and Performance: Cloud providers often have data centers in multiple geographic regions, allowing you to choose a location that is closer to your target audience, improving latency and overall performance.

9. Automatic Updates and Maintenance: Cloud providers handle infrastructure updates and maintenance tasks, freeing you from the burden of managing hardware and software updates.

10. Collaboration and Integration: Cloud services often come with tools and integrations that facilitate collaboration among team members and the integration of various applications and services.

11. Environmental Benefits: By sharing resources and optimizing utilization, cloud hosting can be more environmentally friendly than traditional hosting methods, as it can reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.

12. Global Reach: Cloud hosting providers have a global presence, allowing businesses to expand their reach and serve customers worldwide more easily.

13. DevOps and Automation: Cloud hosting supports DevOps practices, enabling automation of tasks like provisioning, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).

14. Competitive Advantage: Cloud hosting can give organizations a competitive edge by allowing them to quickly adapt to changing market conditions and innovate more rapidly.

15. Elasticity: Cloud resources can be automatically adjusted in real-time based on demand, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.

Overall, cloud hosting offers the flexibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness needed to meet the dynamic demands of modern businesses or individuals. However, it’s important to choose the right cloud provider and deployment strategy to maximize these benefits while addressing your specific needs and requirements.
